Rabat Introduces a Streamlined Process for Public Domain Occupation Permits

The Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra is set to launch a one-stop shop on August 17, aimed at assisting merchants and professionals in Rabat with their procedures for obtaining permits related to the use of public spaces. This initiative is designed to simplify the bureaucratic processes that often burden local businesses, thereby promoting a more efficient regulatory environment.

This new service comes at a crucial time, coinciding with a broader campaign to free up public spaces. The Chamber emphasizes its commitment to a collaborative approach, focusing on dialogue and coordination with all stakeholders involved, as well as providing technical support to professionals in the area.

Specifically, the one-stop shop will centralize all administrative formalities associated with obtaining permits for public domain usage. It will also facilitate certain administrative tasks related to commercial activities, including the installation of signage and advertising panels.

Beginning on Monday, August 17, at 10 a.m., the service will be available at the central headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce. Initially, it will cater exclusively to merchants and professionals residing in Rabat, ensuring they can access the necessary resources to regularize their legal status swiftly.

Through this new organizational framework, the Chamber aims to consolidate the processing of requests in one location, enhancing efficiency, reducing waiting times, and ultimately improving the quality of service provided to users. The CCIS-RSK encourages all relevant merchants and professionals to utilize this new facility to obtain essential information and expedite their legal compliance.
