Exciting Plans for Rabat's Cultural Landscape
The regional development company "Rabat Region Heritage" (RRPH) is gearing up to launch an ambitious festival named "Rabat Illumine". This mega event aims to enhance the cultural spotlight on Morocco's capital by illuminating its historical sites through an immersive night-time journey. The festival will feature fifteen iconic locations, strategically divided into two distinct routes: the "Modern Capital of Rabat" route, which includes prominent sites such as Mohammed V Avenue, Rabat Ville train station, the Parliament, Bank Al-Maghrib, the Post Office, Maroc Telecom, and the Balima Hotel; and the "Heritage Route", showcasing historical landmarks like Chellah, Bab Lekbir of the Oudayas, and Bab Lhad.
This innovative initiative not only aims to attract tourists but also seeks to foster a deeper appreciation for Rabat's rich historical and cultural heritage among its residents. By creating a captivating atmosphere of light and sound, the festival promises to transform the urban landscape into a vibrant celebration of art and culture.
