Rabat's National Museum of Photography Celebrates Imagination with Bienalsur

Exploring the Depths of Imagination at the National Museum of Photography

The National Museum of Photography in Rabat has proudly launched the collective exhibition titled "Let’s Play – Re-enchanting the World" on March 24, 2026, as part of the Bienalsur, an international biennial of contemporary art from the southern hemisphere. This event marks the second chapter of a partnership initiated with the institution in 2023, further solidifying its commitment to the art of photography.

This compelling exhibition showcases a diverse array of photographs and video artworks by artists hailing from Morocco, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, and the Netherlands. The unique worlds of these creators engage in a dialogue within a collective journey, each artist offering their distinctive interpretation of reality and exploring new narratives.

Rooted in imagination, dreams, and a playful dimension, the artists interrogate the fragilities and pressing questions of our time. Their works provide spaces for contemplation and reflection, transforming enchantment into a sensitive response to contemporary disarray. The exhibition aims to alter our perception of everyday life by revealing its often-overlooked poetic dimensions.

"Re-enchanting the World" serves as an invitation to rediscover the richness of sensations and the diverse interpretations of reality. Designed as a progressive step in the international project "Let’s Play," this installation is part of a series already exhibited in various cities within the BIENALSUR network, including Buenos Aires, Riyadh, and Madrid, as it continues its global journey.

Through this initiative, the National Foundation of Museums reaffirms its dedication to photography, aspiring to establish it as a key discipline within its cultural programming.
