The Moroccan Football Federation has been monitoring Pitarch for some time, aiming to persuade him to switch his sporting nationality.
If Pitarch opts to play for Morocco, he would join the ranks of Brahim Diaz and Munir El Haddadi as the third player born in Spain to represent the Moroccan national team.
