Natalie Zannelli, a remarkable individual who lived to the age of 104, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. A former resident of Cranston and New London, Connecticut, Natalie was the cherished wife of the late Joseph Zannelli and the beloved daughter of the late Daniel and Mary (Manze) Morocco. She was also a sister to the late Alexander Morocco, Daniel Morocco Jr., Theresa Saccoccia, Marie Leone, Margaret O’Brien, Frances Zelano, Lydia Byrne, Blanche Knott, Dorothy Falvo, and Josephine DiZazzo, each of whom holds a special place in the hearts of those who remember them.
Natalie's legacy is not only defined by her family ties but also by her service to her country. Proudly serving during World War II, she enlisted in the United States Navy shortly before her 22nd birthday and rose to the rank of Storekeeper Second Class. Her commitment to her country and her dedication to duty serve as an inspiring testament to her character and values.
The community is invited to pay their respects during the visitation scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the “WOODLAWN” Funeral Home, located at 600 Pontiac Avenue in Cranston. Following the visitation, there will be a graveside service accompanied by military honors at 11 AM in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, a fitting tribute to her life of service.
