Royal Air Maroc Resumes Flights from Casablanca to Doha and Dubai in July

Royal Air Maroc to Reopen Key Routes in July

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has announced the resumption of its direct flights from Casablanca to Doha starting on July 1, and from Casablanca to Dubai commencing on July 3. This decision comes after a hiatus due to the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the region, particularly the conflict involving Iran and the subsequent restrictions on several airspaces in the Middle East. The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed that RAM will operate these routes using Boeing 787-8 aircraft, ensuring a comfortable travel experience for passengers.

The Casablanca-Doha route will feature seven weekly flights, reinstating the connection that had been suspended until June 30 for safety considerations. Similarly, the Casablanca-Dubai route will operate three times a week, marking a significant return after several months of disruptions caused by American-Israeli strikes against Iran and the closure of airspaces, particularly affecting the Strait of Hormuz. This has not only impacted air travel but has also posed challenges to global energy trade, leading to increased operational costs for airlines.

The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority has validated the flight schedules and confirmed the aircraft type to be employed on these routes. Meanwhile, RAM had previously maintained its cancellation of flights to Doha until the end of June, prioritizing the safety of its passengers and crew during these uncertain times.
