Royal Army Takes the Lead in Morocco's Professional Football League

Royal Army Claims Top Spot in Professional Football League

The Royal Army football team has successfully claimed the top position in Morocco's Professional Football League, known as the "Inwi" league, following a commanding 2-0 victory against the Marrakech team during the 26th round of the tournament. This win allowed the Royal Army to increase their points tally to 52, thereby solidifying their leadership status in the league. This outcome was further aided by the setback faced by the Fassi team, which faltered against the Renaissance of Berkane, leaving them with 49 points.

Renaissance of Berkane achieved one of the most notable results of this round, triumphing over the Fassi team with a score of 2-1, which propelled them to second place, just two points behind the leaders with a total of 50 points. Despite the loss, the Fassi team remains within striking distance of the top, provided they can rebound in the upcoming matches.

Meanwhile, the Raja Club Athletic also made significant progress by defeating the Meknes club 2-1, which elevated their points to 49. This victory keeps them firmly in the race for the top positions. On the other hand, the Wydad Athletic Club faced a disappointing defeat against Hassania Agadir, losing 1-0. This result has complicated their pursuit of the championship, leaving them in fifth place with 43 points.

In contrast, the Ittihad Tanger, under the guidance of coach Abdelhak Benchikha, continued to demonstrate strong performance by overcoming the Zamamra team with a narrow 1-0 victory, bringing their total to 35 points. The Fath Union Sport suffered a setback as well, losing 2-0 to Olympic de Dcheira, which allowed the latter to climb to 14th place with 23 points.

At the bottom of the league, the battle for survival is intensifying, particularly for Olympic Safi, who sits at the bottom with 19 points, and Ittihad Yaacoub Mansour with 23 points. The direct confrontation between these two teams saw Ittihad Yaacoub Mansour secure a crucial 1-0 victory.
