Royal Gendarmerie Dismantles Unlicensed Glue Production Unit
On April 15, 2026, the Royal Gendarmerie, operating under the judicial center of Fez, conducted a significant raid on an unauthorized glue production facility located in the Douar of Fnidq, part of the Ouled Tayeb municipality, which is one of the largest districts surrounding the Fez region. This operation was triggered by thorough field investigations that indicated the establishment was being exploited illegally for the production of industrial adhesive materials without the necessary legal permits.
Local sources reveal that the authorities discovered an extensive operation focused on the manufacturing of synthetic glue. During the search and inspection of the warehouse, law enforcement officials seized substantial quantities of materials and equipment, including six tons of "Pine Rosin," a key ingredient used in glue production, as well as 5,000 empty plastic barrels and two traditional mixers utilized in the preparation process.
Following the notification of the relevant public prosecutor's office, it was decided that the seized materials and equipment would remain on-site under the responsibility of the individual involved, pending further inspection by a mixed commission that will be formed to investigate the details of this operation and establish accountability.
