Severe Weather Alerts in Morocco
The Moroccan General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued a significant weather warning, indicating that several provinces of the Kingdom will experience severe thunderstorms accompanied by a risk of hail and strong winds. This alert, classified as orange-level vigilance, is set to take effect on Monday between the hours of 13:00 and 23:00.
Forecasted Rainfall and Affected Regions
According to the DGM, rainfall amounts are expected to range between 20 to 35 millimeters, impacting various regions throughout the afternoon and evening. The provinces under alert include Boulemane, Khénifra, Midelt, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Tinghir, Al Haouz, Figuig, Jerada, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Ifrane, Guercif, and Taourirt. Residents in these areas should prepare for localized thunderstorms, which may produce hail and gusty winds. The DGM has urged all citizens to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions during this weather event.
