Significant Police Operation in Marrakech
On the night of July 31, 2026, a comprehensive security operation was conducted by the Field Research Unit of the first security area in Marrakech, under the supervision of the Deputy Head of the security district. According to sources from Kech24, this operation resulted in the arrest of 36 individuals involved in different illegal activities. Among those arrested, 15 were suspected of engaging in unlawful car guarding, a practice that has generated numerous complaints from both residents and visitors. Furthermore, authorities apprehended 8 individuals suspected of inciting corruption, in addition to 3 others for public intoxication, all part of a broader initiative to address behaviors that disrupt public peace.
