Police Action in Marrakech Results in Multiple Arrests
A recent police operation targeting a shisha café located on Mauritania Street in the Gueliz district of Marrakech has led to significant legal developments. Following the arrest of several individuals, authorities have transferred them to the competent public prosecutor's office to further investigate the suspicious activities occurring within the establishment. The judicial authorities have decided to incarcerate three individuals: the café manager, a suspected drug dealer, and a minor. Meanwhile, others detained have been released under legal procedures due to the nature of their involvement.
In an additional turn of events, a national search warrant for the café owner has been issued as part of ongoing investigations aimed at clarifying legal responsibilities associated with the management of the café and the activities that transpired inside. This case came to light following an early morning raid executed by drug enforcement and anti-gang units last Friday. The operation was successful in confiscating substantial quantities of hard drugs, two tablets of narcotic pills, and blocks of hashish believed to be prepared for distribution, along with alcoholic beverages.
Moreover, authorities seized 200 hookah bottles, four kilograms of shisha tobacco, and 300 clay heads used for preparing shisha, all of which were found at the scene. Legal proceedings continue under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, with the aim of completing the investigation and uncovering all circumstances and details pertaining to the case, while maintaining the presumption of innocence until final judicial rulings are made.
