Reflecting on the recent crisis in Ceuta, Fernández Molina remarked that Spain initially presented an image of vulnerability, particularly as a significant number of individuals crossed the border with little resistance. She noted, "I think it projected an image of vulnerability and of the border not being under control," which was exacerbated by the lack of support from Morocco during that period. However, she highlighted that the situation began to improve, thanks to the effective cooperation between the governments of Madrid and Rabat. "It is also true that in the two weeks that followed, the Spanish government managed, thanks to its good understanding with the Moroccan authorities, to defuse the worst part of the humanitarian crisis fairly quickly and effectively," she explained.
