The Sparrow Hawks Begin Training in Rabat

The Sparrow Hawks, Togo's national football team, kicked off their preparations on Monday with their first training session in Rabat as part of the FIFA Days. This training marks a significant step for the team as they ready themselves for upcoming friendly matches. The squad has been bolstered by the addition of several key players, including Dakonam Djene, Kevin Denkey, Kodjo Fodoh Laba, Kennedy Boateng, Gustave Akueson, Abdoul-Sabourh Bodé, Kevin Boma, and Charles Abi. However, the team will be missing two players: Idjessi Metsoko, who is unavailable due to personal reasons, and Sadik Fofana, who has been ruled out. Of the 23 players called up, Roger Aholou and Malcolm Barcola are the final two yet to join the group.

Looking ahead, the national team is set to face the Central African Republic on June 5 in Rabat, followed by a match against Benin on June 9 in Mohammedia. These friendly encounters will serve as crucial opportunities for the team to assess their readiness and strategy ahead of future competitions.
