Weather Overview for Thursday

The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that hot weather conditions will continue to prevail in the southeastern regions, as well as in the eastern and southern areas of Morocco's desert provinces. During the morning and evening hours, a patchy low cloud cover is expected to form, accompanied by foggy conditions or light, localized rain along the Atlantic coast and plains. Additionally, unstable and thunderstorm-producing clouds are predicted in the eastern regions and along the eastern Mediterranean coastline, bringing with them the possibility of light rain.

Wind and Temperature Expectations

Moderate winds are anticipated in the northern and central plains, as well as in the Atlas Mountains, eastern regions, and southeastern parts of the country. Stronger gusts of wind, potentially raising dust, are expected in the southern provinces. The minimum temperatures are projected to range from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius in areas such as Oued Moulouya, the southeast, southernmost regions, and parts of the eastern area, while temperatures in the Atlas Mountains and Rif region will be cooler, ranging from 15 to 19 degrees Celsius. In other areas across the kingdom, temperatures are forecasted to be between 19 and 25 degrees Celsius. Daytime temperatures are expected to rise in the southeastern regions, southern eastern parts, central coastlines, and the northwest of southern provinces.

The sea conditions will vary, remaining calm to slightly choppy in the Mediterranean Sea, the Strait of Gibraltar, and northern Mohammedia. However, between Mehdia and Cape Juby, wave heights may reach moderate to rough levels, with more turbulent conditions expected in the southern maritime areas.
