A wanted individual with a national warrant related to drug trafficking has died at the Razi Hospital, part of the Mohammed VI University Hospital Centre in Marrakech. The deceased succumbed to injuries sustained from a gunshot wound during his arrest on the evening of Friday, September 4, 2026, in the village of Brahimoun, under the jurisdiction of the Sidi Ibrahim commune.
The incident unfolded during a meticulously planned security operation executed in coordination between the regional command and the local gendarmerie. The suspect, known for his criminal history, exhibited violent resistance against the police patrol, utilizing aggressive dogs and attempting to flee during the arrest attempt.
