Tragic Incident Near Fez
In a devastating incident that occurred on the evening of March 21, 2026, two young men lost their lives in a road accident near the city of Fez, coinciding with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr. The accident took place on a road that connects the routes from Sefrou to Imouzzer Kander when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a large taxi that was en route from Fez Saïs Airport.
According to multiple reports, the tragic collision happened close to the entrance of the motorway and resulted in the immediate death of the two motorcyclists, who were both in their twenties and hailed from the Ain Beida region. The impact of the crash was so severe that it caused one of the victims to lose a foot while the other suffered the loss of a hand, along with various other injuries of differing severity.
In response to the accident, local authorities and members of the Royal Gendarmerie quickly arrived at the scene. They oversaw the transportation of the bodies to the regional morgue at the Al-Ghassani Hospital, while simultaneously initiating an investigation into the circumstances and causes of the accident under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor's office.
