Fatal Train Incident in Fes
A tragic incident occurred in Fes on Wednesday, August 6, 2026, when a train tragically struck a man in his thirties. The accident took place between the neighborhoods of Ben Souda and Ras El Ma, while the train was en route from Fes to Casablanca.
According to eyewitness reports, the train identified as number 136 collided with the victim at kilometer 303+750, near railway line number 2. The impact was severe, and unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Upon receiving the emergency call, members of the Royal Gendarmerie and local authorities promptly arrived at the location to initiate the standard investigation procedures. Following directives from the public prosecutor's office, a preliminary investigation has been launched to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been transferred to the regional hospital for forensic examination and autopsy.
