Travel Advisory: Moroccan Highway Company Urges Caution Amid Heavy Traffic During School Holidays

Prepare for Heavy Traffic During Upcoming School Holidays

As the school holidays approach, coupled with the celebration of Labor Day on May 1st, the Moroccan Highway Company is alerting motorists about potential traffic congestion on major routes. In a recent announcement, the company provided essential information regarding traffic conditions expected on specific highways during peak hours.

Significant traffic delays are anticipated on the following dates and times: Friday, May 1, 2026, between 3 PM and 10 PM; Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 3 PM to 10 PM; Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 9 AM to 1 PM; and Sunday, May 10, 2026, coinciding with the end of school holidays, between 4 PM and 10 PM. To ensure a safe and pleasant journey, the Moroccan Highway Company recommends that travelers plan their trips in advance. This includes checking real-time traffic updates through the ADM Traffic app, which provides users with crucial information to navigate their journeys effectively.

Travelers are also advised to stay vigilant regarding weather alerts and exercise caution in adverse conditions such as strong winds, rain, or fog. Additional safety recommendations include taking breaks every two hours to rest, checking tire conditions before departure, and avoiding the emergency lane unless absolutely necessary. Furthermore, it is essential for motorists to verify their balance on the Jawaz Pass and recharge it as needed, as the pass is now available for purchase and top-up at service areas along the national highway network.

In line with its commitment to enhancing service quality and ensuring a safe travel experience, the Moroccan Highway Company encourages all users to reach out for further assistance by contacting their call center at 5050. By adhering to these guidelines and planning ahead, drivers can contribute to smoother traffic flow and ensure a more enjoyable travel experience during the busy holiday period.
