UAE Pavilion Attracts Over 6,000 Visitors at Marrakech Airshow 2026
The UAE Pavilion concluded its participation in the Marrakech Airshow 2026, a premier event in the aviation and aerospace sector in Morocco, with an impressive total of 6,328 visitors over the course of four days. The event, held at the Royal Moroccan Air Force base under the patronage of King Mohammed VI, served to reinforce the UAE's status as a trusted partner in innovation within the fields of defense, aviation, and space internationally.
Supported by the Ministry of Defense and the Defense Empowerment Council, and organized by ADNEC Group, the pavilion showcased several national entities, including EDGE Group, Generation 5 Holding, Multi Level Group, and Resource Industries, as well as the publications "Dira’a Al Watan" and "Al Jundi." This collective participation facilitated direct communication with international institutions, sector leaders, government representatives, and military delegations.
On the final day, UAE companies held eight meetings with representatives from global firms specializing in defense technologies and international bodies. Individually, EDGE Group conducted two meetings, Generation 5 Holding held one, Multi Level Group organized two, and Resource Industries engaged in three meetings. The pavilion's closing day witnessed a remarkable turnout, attracting 3,100 visitors alone, marking the highest daily attendance recorded throughout the exhibition.
Strategic Meetings and Future Engagements
Throughout the four-day Marrakech Airshow 2026, Capital Events, the event management arm of ADNEC Group, conducted a total of 58 meetings to promote the upcoming editions of the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX), the International Defense Conference (IDC), and the Naval Defense and Security Exhibition (NAVDEX), which are scheduled to take place from January 25 to 29, 2027. These events are anticipated to be the largest in their history. Additionally, Capital Events organized 29 further meetings to promote the 2028 Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) and 19 meetings for the International Security and National Resilience Exhibition (ISNR), reflecting the growing global interest in Abu Dhabi's defense and security events.
The significant interest witnessed at the Marrakech Airshow 2026 underscores the global stature of IDEX, NAVDEX, and ISNR exhibitions. Numerous exhibitors, sector leaders, and defense companies expressed their eagerness to participate in the 2027 editions, which are expected to welcome a record number of exhibitors and visitors, solidifying their position among the world’s most prominent defense and security exhibitions.
In addition to Marrakech, the UAE Pavilion's participation will continue with scheduled appearances at the Special Operations Forces Exhibition (SOFEX) in Jordan, reflecting the UAE's ongoing engagement with the global defense, aviation, and space community.
Over its four days, the UAE Pavilion welcomed senior leaders, engineers, and specialists from the participating Emirati entities, effectively showcasing national capabilities in defense, aviation, and aerospace at the Marrakech Airshow 2026.
The Marrakech Airshow, first launched in 2008 and held biennially, has established itself as the premier event in Morocco’s aviation and aerospace sector, uniting civil and military aviation and space industries from around the globe.
