The University of Cadi Ayyad is gearing up to invigorate its academic landscape by organizing the "Scientific Research Week" scheduled from April 17 to April 25, 2026. The event will be held at its conference center, under the theme "From Academic Knowledge to Local Impact." This initiative reflects the university's strategic vision to transform laboratory results into tangible drivers of regional development, while reinforcing the essential role of innovation in fostering community growth and enhancing the national economy.
This annual gathering aims to dismantle the traditional isolation of academic research by forging cooperative bridges between educational institutions and their socio-economic environments. The focus is on positioning the university as a significant player in the development decision-making process. Young researchers, as well as master's and doctoral students, will be at the heart of this initiative, as the university endeavors to create a nurturing environment for mentorship and scientific exchange, aligning with its policy of valuing innovation and technology transfer.
This edition is characterized by its extensive geographical reach, with activities taking place simultaneously across 15 university institutions spanning four major hubs: Marrakech, Essaouira, Safi, and Kelaa des Sraghna. This approach embodies the university's commitment to disseminating scientific benefits and bringing knowledge closer to various local stakeholders and partners.
The scientific program for this event boasts a packed agenda, featuring 10 strategic sessions that will connect academics with economic partners, 10 international conferences, alongside 30 lectures and 15 specialized seminars. To foster competitiveness and innovation, the event will host four scientific hackathons and 10 national competitions, including the Astronomy Olympiad, in addition to 40 thematic workshops aimed at training graduate students.
In a bid to enhance direct communication with the public and stakeholders, the "Innovation City" will host a grand exhibition showcasing prominent research projects, supported by open days where laboratories will welcome visitors and interested parties. Through this comprehensive scientific and logistical effort, the University of Cadi Ayyad reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development by offering innovative scientific solutions that address real challenges and contribute to building a knowledge-based economy.
