Strengthening Economic Ties Between the US and Tunisia
During a meeting at the Bardo Palace, the United States Ambassador to Tunisia, Bill Bazi, announced that three American companies are prepared to expand their operations and intensify their projects in Tunisia. This initiative aims to enhance economic cooperation between the two nations and contribute to job creation within Tunisia. The ambassador emphasized the significance of the friendly relations between the United States and Tunisia and reiterated his country’s commitment to continue supporting Tunisia in various fields, particularly in economic development and investment encouragement. Bazi also discussed the importance of Tunisian-American cooperation in the military sector, highlighting the positive results achieved thus far, which encourage further collaboration. Furthermore, the ambassador acknowledged the importance of collaboration in higher education and the teaching of the English language, recognizing their role in strengthening ties between the two friendly nations. Bouderbala stressed the importance of parliamentary relations and the necessity for joint efforts to further strengthen these ties through visits and the exchange of experiences. He expressed eagerness to host an American parliamentary delegation in Tunisia and to send a delegation from the Tunisian Parliament to the United States, highlighting the role of diplomacy in fostering bilateral relations across various dimensions.
