On March 23, 2026, the General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a detailed forecast highlighting significant weather changes across various regions of the country. Residents in the northern parts should prepare for dense cloud cover accompanied by rain and possible thunderstorms, particularly affecting the Eastern High Plateaus, the Saïss region, the Rif mountains, the Middle Atlas, and areas surrounding the phosphate plateaus and Oulmès. Meanwhile, the High Atlas and its western plains, as well as the interior regions of Souss and the southeastern slopes, will experience partly cloudy skies with sporadic light rain.

Wind and Temperature Conditions

Strong gusts of wind are anticipated along the southern coast, which may affect outdoor activities and travel plans. The temperatures are expected to vary, with minimum readings ranging from 0 to 6°C in the Atlas and Rif regions, and slightly warmer conditions of 6 to 11°C across the Saïss, phosphate plateaus, and the northern Oriental regions. Other areas will see minimums between 11 and 16°C. During the day, temperatures will rise in central regions while remaining steady or decreasing in others. The Mediterranean Sea is expected to be calm to slightly choppy, while conditions in the Strait and between Tangier and Tarfaya may become more turbulent.
