Wydad Fes Aims for Promotion to the Professional First Division

Wydad Fes is gearing up for a critical match against the club of Quneitra, scheduled for this Sunday at 6 PM at the sports complex. This encounter is pivotal, as securing a victory would significantly enhance the team's position in the overall standings. The stakes are particularly high for the Fes team, which aims to maintain its positive results and inch closer to the top contenders. Following this match, they are set to face a challenging away game in Tiznit against a team led by coaches Abdel Rahim Ashkilit and Mohamed Jnati.

The coaching staff of Wydad Fes is optimistic about continuing their current momentum, especially given the team's successful efforts in the second half of the season to reclaim their standing against clubs that previously outperformed them or managed to secure draws in earlier encounters. Under the guidance of coach Mourad Flah, the team has experienced commendable results even in away fixtures.

Wydad Fes began the season on a rocky note, characterized by unstable performance and results, which led to the departure of coach Chakib Jiar. Subsequently, Hicham Louissi took over but was unable to achieve the desired turnaround. Eventually, the management appointed Mourad Flah, who had previously overseen the team and has since managed to restore a degree of balance and place them back in contention for promotion.

Club president Khaled Ajli emphasized that the management has established a clear program from the start of the season aimed at achieving promotion or at least securing a spot among the top four positions. He noted that all necessary conditions have been provided, including early preparations and allowing the coach the freedom to select players. Although the team's start did not meet expectations, they sought a replacement capable of fulfilling the aspirations of Fes fans, who are eager for the team’s return to the top division and the revival of local derby excitement. Ajli reassured that players have received all their financial dues, including salaries and bonuses, to motivate them towards achieving the desired results.

Coach Mourad Flah reiterated his commitment to working diligently with the squad to secure positive outcomes for the remainder of the season. He believes the team is heading in the right direction despite losing some points at home, particularly in the match against the Salmi club. Flah aims to restore joy to the fans who are expected to continue their support during this crucial phase.
