Yuri Mansur and Incanto VDL Claim Victory in Tétouan

The excitement at the Royal Guard arena in Tétouan reached its peak on Saturday, October 4, 2026, as competitors geared up for the CSI4*-W Grand Prix. The day's highlight was the prestigious Prix Fête de l’Unité, a 1.50m Longines Ranking class that served as the final major event before Sunday's Grand Prix. With a packed audience witnessing the action, the stakes were high, and the atmosphere was electric.

Designed by renowned course designer Gregory Bodo from France, the challenging course saw 30 horse-and-rider combinations attempt to navigate a particularly tight time allowed. Out of these competitors, only three pairs successfully completed a clear round, advancing to the jump-off. Among them, Brazilian rider Yuri Mansur, aboard the talented mare Incanto VDL, emerged victorious. Mansur completed the jump-off in an impressive time of 38.17 seconds, narrowly beating French rider Simon Delestre and his horse Oh Sissi by a mere thirteen hundredths of a second. Delestre had previously secured a win in the Grand Prix qualifier, making the competition even more intense. Italian rider Roberto Previtali rounded out the podium in third place with Conthargo-Blue.

Reflecting on his performance, Mansur remarked, "As soon as I saw Simon’s jump-off, I really focused on sticking to the plan I had in mind because he had been very fast. Simon is always dangerous in a jump-off, so you have to be careful. I’ve had Incanto for a year now. He has always had a lot of quality, but he was a little cold and had learned to jump in a certain way, which made him a bit slow. But he is an incredibly intelligent horse.”
