Casablanca Hosts Inaugural Build Day of the Claude Community

On Thursday, October 22, 2026, Casablanca, Morocco, served as the vibrant backdrop for the inaugural event of the Claude Community, aptly titled "Claude Community x Sojori." This unique gathering, known as a "build day," brought together developers, entrepreneurs, students, and business professionals for an engaging afternoon of creativity and innovation, all centered around Claude, the cutting-edge artificial intelligence developed by Anthropic.

The event was co-organized with Sojori, a Moroccan startup that has successfully created its product utilizing Claude Code. It took place at the Youth Platform in Roches Noires, a significant initiative under the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), located in the Aïn Sebaâ – Hay Mohammadi district. The space is managed by the Startup Grow Foundation, with Hanane Ait Aissa serving as its president.

The afternoon commenced with an inspiring narrative from Tawfiq Gouach, the founder of Sojori, who recounted the story of his startup, heralded as a Moroccan success story. Sojori has developed a hospitality orchestration engine, built by a skilled team utilizing Claude Code. Initially designed for Moroccan hotels, the platform now extends its services to establishments beyond the kingdom's borders.

Participants then engaged in hands-on activities, dedicating 1.5 hours to work on a real-world case before presenting their projects to a panel of judges. The quality and creativity exhibited in their work were met with enthusiastic praise. Representing the Claude Community at this event was Zara Hunter, the Claude Community Ambassador and a Moroccan entrepreneur based in England.

Sojori positions itself as the AI workforce for the hospitality sector, orchestrating customer experiences, operations, and revenue management in a cohesive platform. Specialized AI agents handle repetitive tasks around the clock, allowing hotel and rental teams to focus more on their guests.
