Marrakech Gendarmerie Dismantles Suspected Brothel in Coco Village
In the early hours of October 27, 2026, around 1:00 AM, the Royal Gendarmerie forces from Tashlout, located in the outskirts of Marrakech, executed a successful operation that resulted in the dismantling of a house suspected of being used for prostitution in Coco Village. This intervention led to the arrest of seven individuals, comprising three women and four men. The operation was triggered by a complaint lodged by the homeowner, accompanied by her husband and a friend, at the gendarmerie station, where they reported an incident of assault against an individual they claimed worked for a delivery service, allegedly carried out by a neighbor.
Upon receiving the report, gendarmerie officers promptly proceeded to the scene to investigate the alleged assault. However, initial inquiries revealed further concerning details regarding the house. The individual involved in the complaint indicated that he had visited the residence for the purpose of engaging in sexual activities with one of the women for a fee. In light of this information, the gendarmerie initiated a more extensive investigation, during which the homeowner admitted to utilizing the property to attract women for prostitution in exchange for monetary compensation. It was also reported that her husband received a share of the earnings in return for concealing these illicit activities, according to statements attributed to her during questioning.
Following the investigation, the seven suspects were transported to the Tashlout gendarmerie station, where they are currently being held under police custody, as instructed by the relevant public prosecutor. This measure aims to facilitate a deeper investigation into the circumstances surrounding the case and to establish the legal responsibilities of each individual involved. This operation exemplifies the ongoing efforts of the Royal Gendarmerie to combat illegal activities, with the actions attributed to the suspects now subject to judicial inquiry until all legal procedures are completed and the necessary consequences are determined.
