Marrakech Hosts Gather Marrakech 2026: A Hub for Global Investment and Innovation
Marrakech, Morocco, has once again affirmed its status as a vital destination for economic gatherings and international networking, as it hosted the inaugural edition of Gather Marrakech 2026 from October 22 to 24, 2026. This significant event, organized by North Summit in collaboration with Gather Being, brought together over 100 investors, entrepreneurs, and business leaders from more than 20 countries to explore investment opportunities and the major economic and technological transformations taking place globally.
The primary aim of this event was to highlight Morocco's strategic position as a connecting platform between Africa, Europe, and international markets. Beyond a series of conferences, the organizers opted for a format that combined professional exchanges, informal meetings, and the rich discovery of Moroccan heritage. This approach was designed to foster the emergence of sustainable collaborations and partnerships, paving the way for future economic growth.
The program was structured around four key themes: investment, real estate, and tourism; technology, artificial intelligence, and education; wellness and longevity; as well as Moroccan heritage and culture. This diverse range of topics reflects the organizers' commitment to bridging international economic players with Moroccan entrepreneurs, showcasing the myriad opportunities that the Kingdom offers across various developing sectors.
Notable Figures and Cultural Experiences Enhance the Event
Among the prominent figures attending were Bernhard Bohnenberger, co-founder and CEO of Discover Collection and former president of Six Senses, Mike Crichton, international president of GSK, and Venanzio Ciampa, president of the Street Soccer USA foundation. Additionally, leaders from the hospitality, real estate, and health sectors, including Sean and Fatine Wilson from OPTI Health, participated alongside Moroccan entrepreneurs like Iness El Amine, founder of Ya Zine.
For this first edition in Africa, the organizers strategically chose two iconic locations within the city for the meetings: the Medina and the Agafay Desert. This choice not only showcased the Kingdom's tourism and cultural potential but also created an ideal environment for interaction among economic decision-makers.
Beyond its economic focus, Gather Marrakech 2026 distinguished itself through its commitment to education. As a non-profit event, it plans to donate a portion of the funds raised to Addictest, a Moroccan organization dedicated to guiding students towards universities and international scholarship programs. Established in 2015, Addictest has successfully assisted over a thousand young Moroccans in navigating admission processes and accessing higher education institutions abroad, including prestigious universities such as Harvard, MIT, Stanford, and Bocconi.
The Street Soccer USA foundation was also involved in this edition as an impact partner, promoting the role of sports as a tool for inclusion and youth development.
