Wislane: Major Investment of 2.4 Billion Centimes for Industrial Infrastructure Development in Morocco

Wislane Secures 2.4 Billion Centimes for Industrial Infrastructure Enhancement

In a significant move aimed at bolstering the industrial infrastructure of the Wislane area, which falls under the jurisdiction of Meknes, Morocco, the development company Omrane Fes Meknes has announced the initiation of a tender for the execution of works related to the installation of both medium and low voltage electricity connections, public lighting, and telecommunications networks. The estimated cost of this ambitious project stands at approximately 24.05 million dirhams, equivalent to 2.4 billion centimes.

According to the announcement regarding tender number AO/167/2026 published on October 12, 2026, this project pertains to the subdivision of the Wislane industrial zone, which spans an impressive area of 65 hectares. The deadline for submitting bids is set for November 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The estimated cost for the works is 24,056,682 dirhams, with a provisional guarantee amount of 400,000 dirhams required for participation in the tender.

This project holds particular significance due to the strategic location of the Wislane industrial zone within the northern extension of the urban complex of Riyad Omrane Wislane. It is expected to play a crucial role in promoting industrial investment in the Meknes region. Data from the regional investment center of Fes Meknes indicates that the industrial area encompasses 65 hectares and offers a substantial real estate proposal that includes 199 plots designated for industrial activities. This includes 98 plots for small-scale industrial activities, 83 plots for medium-sized enterprises of the first and second categories, and 18 plots for large industrial enterprises.

The Wislane industrial zone targets projects across various sectors, including textiles and clothing, automotive manufacturing, renewable energy, chemical and semi-chemical industries, electrical assembly, and construction materials. In this context, the provision of electrical networks, lighting, and telecommunications is one of the essential components for equipping industrial areas, given their connection to the energy needs of businesses, securing the environment, and providing the necessary infrastructure for operational industrial units.
