Anticipated Thunderstorms and Warm Weather in Marrakech, Morocco

The Moroccan Meteorological Authority has issued a weather forecast indicating that on Monday, October 19, 2026, various regions across Morocco, including the High and Middle Atlas mountains, are expected to experience rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms. This weather pattern will also extend to areas such as the Saïss region, the southeastern parts of the country, the eastern region, the Rif mountains, the Mediterranean coast, Tangier, the Loukos region, and the western interior regions.

In the vibrant city of Marrakech, weather predictions suggest a mix of clouds and sunny intervals, with temperatures reaching a maximum of around 24 degrees Celsius. There is a 25% probability of rain in the area, and wind gusts could reach speeds of up to 24 kilometers per hour, creating a dynamic and somewhat unpredictable climate as the day progresses.

Across the rest of the kingdom, a partially cloudy sky is anticipated, with scattered light rain expected in the Atlantic plains, northern and central regions, as well as in the Souss area. Notably, the peaks of the High Atlas may see some snowfall, adding a picturesque touch to the landscape. Moderate winds are expected in the southeastern region and the northeastern parts of the southern provinces, while daytime temperatures will experience a slight drop in the Mediterranean coastline, central plains, the Moulouya valley, and the southeastern regions of Morocco.

Minimum temperatures are projected to range between 3 and 10 degrees Celsius in the mountainous areas and their eastern slopes, while the southernmost regions, including the deep south and southeastern zones, will see temperatures between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius. The remainder of the country will experience temperatures ranging from 10 to 15 degrees Celsius, providing a varied climate across Morocco.
