From June 10 to 12, Casablanca is set to host the Moroccan edition of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Fair 2026, themed "Discovering Africa." This significant event marks the tenth anniversary of the strategic partnership between Morocco and China, aiming to strengthen bilateral economic exchanges and enhance Morocco's position as a regional hub connecting Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
The International Exhibition Center in Casablanca will serve as the venue for this special edition of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Fair, which will focus on the theme: "Working Together China-Africa, Building the Future." This initiative comes at a time when economic and trade relations between Rabat and Beijing are continuously strengthening, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the strategic partnership between the two nations.
Jointly organized by the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Fair and the Moroccan Ministry of Industry and Commerce, this edition seeks to create a structured framework for exchange and cooperation that aims to foster economic partnerships between China and Morocco, while stimulating investment opportunities for both sides.
Recognized as one of the key events dedicated to Sino-African cooperation, this fair has gradually established itself as a major economic platform. Since its inception, it has facilitated the signing of 512 projects worth over $64.71 billion in investments, showcasing the vast ambitions driven by this cooperative dynamic.
Following several editions previously held in Kenya and Nigeria, the 2026 edition will be a first for Morocco. This choice reflects the growing importance of the Kingdom in regional economic exchanges and its strategic role as a bridge between Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. It also highlights the increasing potential of Sino-Moroccan economic relations across several key sectors.
The event will cover an area exceeding 7,000 square meters and will be structured around nine thematic spaces dedicated to various sectors. Approximately 250 Moroccan and Chinese companies are expected to participate, representing diverse fields such as renewable energy, industrial and technological equipment, mining, construction materials, automotive and spare parts, medical devices, agricultural and food products, as well as consumer goods.
The program will also include an opening ceremony, a Sino-Moroccan economic and trade networking session, and B2B meetings designed to bring economic operators from both countries closer together and foster the emergence of new cooperation projects.
As a major economic partner of China in North Africa, Morocco continues to strengthen its ties with Beijing through structural projects and multisectoral cooperation initiatives. In this context, this new edition of the fair is expected to reinforce bilateral synergies while opening new avenues for collaboration and development for Moroccan and Chinese enterprises.
