100 Chadian Entrepreneurs to Be Trained in Agadir Starting October 2026
A groundbreaking partnership aimed at fostering South-South cooperation has been established between the Agadir-based University of Health and Sciences (UPSSA) and the Ministry of Youth in Chad. This initiative's primary objective is to provide training for 100 young entrepreneurs from Chad, who will commence their studies in October 2026. These candidates, representing all 23 provinces of Chad, will embark on a comprehensive three-year program in Morocco that integrates education, incubation, and mentorship. The UPSSA is fully supporting this program, which is designed to cultivate a new generation of entrepreneurs throughout Chad.
The partnership was formalized in Agadir by Hamid Ouahbi, the president of UPSSA, and Naïr Abakar, Chad’s Minister of Youth and Sports. The agreement is set to implement an Entrepreneurial Excellence Program. Starting from the upcoming academic year, 100 young entrepreneurs and project initiators from Chad will have the opportunity to enroll at UPSSA via the Agadir Private School of Business and Management (APSBM). This initiative is not merely focused on education; it encompasses a comprehensive three-year journey of training, incubation, and support. The program aims to accelerate the emergence of a new class of Chadian entrepreneurs.
Comprehensive Support for Entrepreneurial Development
The Entrepreneurial Excellence Program is designed to extend beyond traditional education. Each participant will receive personalized guidance tailored to their unique profiles, skills, and project aspirations. This will involve a fusion of training, mentorship, coaching, incubation, financing preparation, and project implementation support. Participants will have the chance to acquire crucial skills in various domains, including entrepreneurship, management, leadership, innovation, digital transformation, finance, international trade, governance, and project management. Furthermore, the cooperation will also host boot camps, hackathons, innovation contests, entrepreneurial academies, incubation programs, and international conferences to foster a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in Chad.
UPSSA’s educational, technical, and organizational contributions will cover all 100 participants for the entire three-year duration of the program, fully funded by the university. The overarching goal is to empower the youth economically, generate employment opportunities, and promote balanced territorial development. The Ministry of Youth and Sports will oversee the selection process, ensuring representation from all provinces in Chad, as well as institutional monitoring of participants and organization of their accommodations during the program. Details regarding selection criteria, timelines, and application procedures for the Entrepreneurial Excellence Program will be communicated by the Ministry.
