The Inspiring Journey of Hasnaa Chadi
Born on August 26, 1987, Hasnaa Chadi spent her formative years in the Bourgogne neighborhood of Casablanca, raised primarily by her grandmother and aunt. Even after spending 24 years abroad, she cherishes vivid memories of her childhood in Morocco. The loss of her grandmother at the tender age of 11 profoundly impacted her life, shaping her experiences and decisions. Reflecting on this loss, Hasnaa admits, "I always said that if I hadn't lost her, I would have never left Morocco." Four years later, she moved to the United States to live with her aunt, where she took on the responsibilities of caring for her aunt's children.
Hasnaa's initial experience in the U.S. was challenging. At just 15, she began assisting her aunt, a role that lasted for two years. She recalls, "My first experience was difficult. I was still a child and ended up losing a year of schooling during that time." This marked the beginning of a significant transition in her life, as she grappled with the challenges of adapting to a new environment while supporting her family.
From Childhood to Professional Ventures
At 17, Hasnaa took a bold step by leaving her aunt's home to become financially independent. She juggled multiple jobs, working as a cashier and preparing sandwiches while learning English simultaneously. This period forced her to find a balance between work, education, and living alone in a country where she was still mastering the language. Reflecting on these years, she shares, "I had to manage work, learn the language, and understand how to live independently, all while facing responsibilities I didn't feel ready for yet."
Her personal life also introduced her to the world of football. In 2009, she played a role in facilitating her partner's transition from Wydad Athletic Club to the Seattle Sounders in the United States, marking her first foray into the sports industry. However, her professional journey took a backseat at the request of her husband. For nearly a decade, Hasnaa worked with children, including those with special needs, while continuing her studies. When her income became insufficient to support her family, particularly during the financial strains of the COVID-19 pandemic, she sought to pivot her career.
Hasnaa then turned her focus to event organization, honing skills in production, budget management, contract oversight, and team coordination. This new venture bridged her interests in sports and music, fields where logistical preparation and partner management are crucial. She pursued higher education at Northern Virginia Community College and George Mason University, studying early childhood education, sports management, business administration, and hospitality.
In 2019, she expanded her experience into music event organization, hosting her first concert while working with Havana Entertainment and Le Noir Entertainment. Her portfolio grew to include not just concerts but also sports and international projects, such as a tournament in Washington involving clubs from Marseille, Saint-Étienne, Bordeaux, and Montpellier. In 2023, she was involved in organizing the Capital Cup, where the Ghanaian national team played at Audi Field in Washington. Additionally, she conceived a fan zone for the Saudi club Al-Hilal in the U.S. in 2025, alongside various initiatives related to the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
August 2024 marked a significant milestone for Hasnaa as she founded Kassetta Music, diving into music production. She has overseen the executive production of over twenty releases, collaborating with artists like Vira, Nezar, Shinigami, Shinji, and Kalil. Her creative direction spans production budgets, release planning, and distribution. Furthermore, Hasnaa has teamed up with Universal MENA and Mass Appeal, contributing to several projects featuring international artists, including "Casanova" with Yo Yo Honey Singh and Lil Pump, "Rich Life" featuring Rick Ross and Guru Randhawa, and "Rolla Rolla" with French Montana, Mohamed Ramadan, Yasmine Sandlas, and DJ Shadow Dubai. She also serves as an executive producer in the U.S. for Phoenixx Music Global.
As she reflects on her journey, Hasnaa Chadi emphasizes her enduring connection to Morocco, stating, "Morocco remains my country." This attachment fuels her ambition to initiate sports and artistic projects between the U.S. and Morocco. She is dedicated to instilling her Moroccan roots in her two children, Yassine and Yasmine, encouraging them to take pride in their heritage. Her son plays football while her daughter pursues art, reflecting the diverse interests they are encouraged to explore.
In addition, Hasnaa is eager to strengthen ties between Moroccan football and the United States, revealing her long-held dream of organizing a derby match between Wydad Athletic Club and Raja Club Athletic in Washington, a project she has been developing for seven years. Ultimately, Hasnaa Chadi envisions returning to Morocco to establish an organization focused on children's education and activities. "I dream of returning to Morocco and resettling there," she shares, hoping to leverage the experience gained in the U.S. as she outlines her future plans for this nonprofit initiative.
