Mecapole Industries Sets Up Aerospace Manufacturing in Casablanca

The French company Mecapole Industries is gearing up for its industrial establishment in Morocco, marking a significant expansion in its operations. Renowned for its precision mechanics, the group aims to manufacture aircraft and helicopter components in Casablanca, with production expected to commence in early 2028. This venture is projected to create several dozen job opportunities, contributing to the local economy and the aerospace sector.

Having already established six production sites across France, Mecapole Industries is now setting its sights on a broader horizon. The announcement of their entry into the Moroccan market coincided with the Marrakech Airshow, held from October 7 to 10. Through their official LinkedIn account, the company expressed its intent to meet the increasing production demands of its clients in the aerospace and defense sectors while expanding its collaborations with new international clients.

Significant Investment and Job Creation in the Region

The forthcoming facility will specialize in the machining of mechanical components specifically designed for aircraft and helicopters. Mecapole Industries possesses extensive expertise in this domain, proficient in various manufacturing stages ranging from forging to high-precision machining and the assembly of complex parts. Their skills are particularly recognized in the aerospace, military, and railway sectors.

This ambitious project reached a critical milestone with the signing of an agreement between Mecapole and Midparc Casablanca Free Zone, the designated aerospace industrial zone located in Nouaceur, close to Mohammed V Airport. As per an announcement from the French group, the planned investment amounts to €14 million, which is set to generate 85 direct jobs.

Moreover, another protocol signed with the Moroccan Ministry of Industry and the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) indicates an investment of €10 million and an estimated 80 jobs. This dual approach highlights Mecapole's commitment to fostering industrial growth in Morocco while reinforcing its capabilities in the global aerospace market.
