Israel and Morocco Elevate Diplomatic Relations
In a significant move to bolster diplomatic relations, Israel and Morocco have reached an agreement to upgrade their existing diplomatic missions to full embassies. As part of this new diplomatic framework, both nations will appoint ambassadors and finalize agreements on investment protection and double taxation by the end of 2026. Additionally, they plan to enhance connectivity by expanding direct flights to include Moroccan airlines, facilitating easier travel and exchange between the two countries. This upgrade in diplomatic relations follows the normalization of ties between Israel and Morocco, which was brokered by the United States in 2020.
