Israir Airlines to Launch Direct Flights to Morocco

Israir Airlines Resumes Direct Flights to Marrakech

Israeli airline Israir has announced the resumption of direct flights to Marrakech, marking a significant development in the aviation ties between Israel and Morocco. This follows a similar announcement from another Israeli airline, Arkia. The new flights are scheduled to commence on September 1, 2026, and will continue until the end of October, indicating a gradual return of air travel between the two nations. According to PassportNews, a specialist in tourism and aviation news, Israir will operate one flight per week, departing from Israel every Tuesday afternoon, with return flights leaving Marrakech at midnight on the same day. Ticket prices are set to start at $299 for a one-way journey, with booking available through the airline's website, call center, and travel agents.

The launch of this air route comes as Marrakech continues to grow in popularity as a leading tourist destination in North Africa, renowned for its historical sites, traditional markets, and rich cultural heritage. The timing of these flights is particularly noteworthy, as Royal Air Maroc has suspended its flights to Ben Gurion Airport since October 7, 2023. Israir has advised travelers to ensure they meet all entry requirements to Morocco and possess the necessary documents and permits prior to booking and traveling. The flights are now available for reservation through all official channels of the airline.
