Key Responsibilities of the EMEA Operations IT Transformation Senior Analyst

In the role of EMEA Operations IT Transformation Senior Analyst within Bernstein SG's Operations division, you will take charge of various reporting, data analytics, automation, and process improvement initiatives tailored for post-trade operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations for Europe, your primary focus will be on designing and implementing controlled solutions that deliver reliable operational insights, enhance management oversight, and boost efficiency throughout the securities trade lifecycle. Collaboration will be at the heart of your role, as you will partner with operational management and teams to convert business needs into scalable solutions using Power BI, while also overseeing testing, documentation, implementation, and the transition to routine operations.

Your responsibilities will encompass the ownership of specific operations transformation workstreams, managing complex deliverables from initial requirements gathering through to controlled implementation, transition, and post-implementation review. You will be tasked with designing, building, and maintaining comprehensive Power BI dashboards and KPI reports utilizing DAX, Power Query, and effective data modeling techniques. Your analytical skills will come into play as you produce accurate reports covering settlement performance, fails, volumes, prematching, exceptions, reconciliations, operational controls, and other critical measures throughout the trade lifecycle.

Moreover, you will analyze extensive operational datasets to uncover trends, root causes, risks, and potential improvements, transforming these insights into actionable recommendations for operations management. Your role will also require you to maintain stringent data quality controls, oversee reconciliations, manage data lineage, access, and validation checks, ensuring that all outputs are thorough, accurate, timely, and auditable. In addition, you will be responsible for designing and supporting automated workflows using Power Automate and approved Microsoft 365 applications while evaluating opportunities for automation and process enhancements, taking into account various factors such as costs, benefits, risks, and maintainability.

Qualifications and Company Overview

The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling, alongside strong skills in Excel and Microsoft 365 applications. Experience in developing and maintaining Power Automate workflows, along with a foundational knowledge of SQL and structured data analysis, is essential.
