Marrakech Climbs to Top of Flight Searches from France for All Saints' Holiday

Marrakech has achieved a remarkable ascent in flight searches from France for the upcoming All Saints' holiday, climbing an impressive 21 positions in just one year to secure the top spot. This vibrant city, known for its rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes, has outperformed other destinations, including Algeria, which now ranks second, La Réunion in third, Tunis in fourth, and Bangkok in fifth. Additionally, Casablanca has also made significant gains, moving up to sixth place after improving its ranking by 13 positions compared to the previous year.

This impressive rise in popularity underscores the strong interest among French travelers in visiting Morocco as the autumn school holidays approach, which began on October 17 and will continue until November 2. Notably, flight searches for Marrakech have surged by 40% overall, highlighting a broader trend of increased travel interest towards sunny and easily accessible destinations during this festive period.

In the month of September alone, flight searches to Marrakech from France increased by 40% compared to September of the previous year. In particular, departing from Lyon, this growth reached a remarkable 72% year-on-year. This trend comes at a time when several Mediterranean destinations are experiencing a resurgence in interest from French travelers.

According to Caroline Gachet, the marketing and e-commerce director of Bourse des Vols, there is a noticeable preference for sunny destinations during the All Saints' holiday, with the Maghreb region holding a significant place among travelers' choices, alongside more distant locations such as Bangkok and Madagascar. The data used for this barometer was gathered from flight searches recorded in September 2026 on the Bourse des Vols platform, measuring travel intentions compared to the same period in 2025.
