Marrakech Gears Up for the 9th International Water and Sanitation Technology Exhibition

Marrakech is set to host the ninth edition of the International Water and Sanitation Technology Exhibition (SITeau) from May 13 to 15, 2023, at the Mohammed VI Museum of Water Civilization in Morocco, in partnership with this esteemed institution. This significant event is organized under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, initiated by the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, the Moroccan Coalition for Water, and Cadi Ayyad University, alongside various institutional and media partners.

The organization of this exhibition occurs against a backdrop of increasing global attention to water issues, especially in anticipation of the 2027 World Water Forum. The exhibition aims to establish itself as a scientific platform for dialogue and experience exchange among national and international stakeholders. It serves as a space for interaction among experts, decision-makers, economic actors, and civil society representatives, with the goal of developing innovative approaches in the fields of water, energy, agriculture, and health, all within a framework of integrated sustainable development.

This edition's program includes a variety of activities ranging from an ecological golf competition on May 12 to international symposiums, scientific meetings, and interactive workshops. Noteworthy highlights include an inaugural seminar on the interconnections between water, energy, agriculture, and health, a generational dialogue on water issues, and workshops aimed at children. The exhibition will conclude with a seminar on water diplomacy and multiculturalism, culminating in the presentation of the "Gaia" environmental awards supported by UNESCO and its partners. This event emphasizes the importance of adopting proactive approaches to tackle climate change challenges and fostering innovative partnerships to achieve sustainable balance in water resource management.
