The Marrakech-Menara International Airport has experienced a notable surge in passenger traffic, boasting an impressive increase of 10.26% by the end of July 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. According to data released by the National Office of Airports (ONDA), the airport welcomed a total of 6,407,303 passengers during the first seven months of the current year, a significant rise from the 5,811,270 travelers recorded during the corresponding period in 2025.
In particular, the month of July 2026 saw the airport accommodating 770,339 passengers, reflecting a growth of 9.15% from the 705,752 travelers who passed through in July 2025. A detailed breakdown of the passenger traffic for July 2026 indicates that international flights accounted for 730,946 travelers, marking an increase of 8.33% from the previous year's total of 674,733. Domestic travel also saw a remarkable rise, with 39,393 passengers recorded in July 2026 compared to 31,019 in July 2025, demonstrating a significant growth rate of 26.99%.
International and Domestic Traffic Trends
Throughout the first seven months of 2026, the international traffic at Marrakech-Menara reached 6,123,370 passengers, which is a 9.64% increase from the 5,585,230 travelers noted in the same timeframe last year. Meanwhile, domestic passenger traffic stood at 283,933, up from 226,040 at the end of July 2025, representing a growth of 25.61%.
The top five international routes for July 2026 were led by the Mohammed V-Paris-Orly connection, which served 74,879 passengers and accounted for 2.45% of international traffic. Following closely were the Marrakech-Menara-Paris-Orly route with 67,331 passengers (2.20%), the Mohammed V-Paris-CDG route with 54,273 travelers (1.77%), the Mohammed V-Jeddah route with 48,182 passengers (1.58%), and the Mohammed V-Montreal route with 47,405 travelers (1.55%). This performance underscores the robust dynamics of air traffic at Marrakech-Menara Airport, a key tourist gateway for the Kingdom, which continues to prosper from a significant increase in international flight connections.
On a national level, Morocco's airports recorded a commercial traffic total of 22,282,997 passengers by the end of July 2026, an increase of 8.77% compared to the same period last year. For July alone, passenger traffic reached 3,450,846, up from 3,184,027 travelers in July 2025, reflecting a growth of 8.38%.
