Marrakech Menara Airport Sees Significant Passenger Growth in Early 2026

Marrakech Menara International Airport has reported a remarkable increase of 10.40% in passenger traffic by the end of February 2026, compared to the same period in 2025, according to data from the National Airports Office. This infrastructure welcomed a total of 1,769,912 passengers during the first two months of the current year, up from 1,603,193 passengers recorded by the end of February 2025. The statistics reveal a breakdown of air travel activity, indicating that the airport hosted 1,700,720 passengers on international flights, marking a 9.76% increase, while domestic flights accounted for 69,192 passengers, reflecting a significant rise of 28.98%.

In the month of February alone, Marrakech Menara Airport accommodated 899,058 travelers, representing a 7.44% increase from the 836,792 passengers it serviced during the same month in 2025. The top five international routes highlighted in the report included the Marrakech-Paris Orly route, leading with 65,475 passengers or 2.61% of total traffic. This was followed by the Mohammed V-Jeddah route with 53,104 passengers (2.12%), the Mohammed V-Paris Orly route with 49,082 passengers (1.90%), the Marrakech-London Gatwick route with 45,323 passengers (1.81%), and finally the Marrakech-Charles de Gaulle route with 40,101 passengers (1.60%). This performance underscores the dynamic nature of air transport at Marrakech Menara Airport, which remains a prominent gateway for tourism into Morocco.

On a national scale, commercial air traffic across Moroccan airports reached a total of 5,909,802 passengers by the end of February 2026, reflecting a growth rate of 7.91% compared to the same period last year, as reported by the National Airports Office. The distribution of passenger air traffic between national and international flights at the end of February 2026 showed that Moroccan airports welcomed 5,308,935 passengers on international flights (an increase of 8.18%) and 600,867 passengers on domestic routes (up 5.60%).
