As of April 2026, Moroccan airports have experienced a remarkable surge in commercial traffic, welcoming a total of **12,336,962 passengers**, which reflects a **9.7% increase** compared to the previous year, according to the National Airports Office. Among the key airports in the Kingdom, **Marrakech-Menara** stands out, having recorded **3,803,669 passengers** during the first four months of the year, marking an impressive **10.81% growth** compared to 2025. Notably, international travel at this airport accounted for **961,408 travelers**, while domestic flights saw **54,761 passengers**, representing a robust **20.30% increase**.

Similarly, **Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport** has also reported positive growth, with **872,341 passengers** processed, which is an **11.5% increase** from last year. The bulk of this traffic came from international connections, which accounted for **799,357 passengers**, while domestic routes contributed **72,984 passengers**. The total number of airport movements reached **6,945 operations**, showcasing a **12.5% increase** in activity.

Trends Across Other Airports

At **Nador-El Aroui Airport**, the upward trend continues with a reported **11.29% increase**, bringing passenger numbers to **349,112**. International flights dominated the activity here as well, with **330,132 travelers** using these services. The airport also saw an increase in operations, totaling **2,539**, a rise of **13.75%**. **Essaouira-Mogador Airport** is another example of growth, with **97,881 passengers** recorded, reflecting an **11.97% increase**, largely driven by international traffic, which accounted for **97,641 travelers**. The number of movements at this airport increased by **16.31%**, reaching **756 operations**.

Conversely, some airports have not fared as well. **Oujda-Angad Airport** reported a decline, with **317,087 passengers** processed, down **8.52%**, while aircraft movements dropped by **11.56%** to **2,317 operations**. The most significant decrease was at **Tétouan-Saniat R’mel Airport**, which saw passenger numbers plummet by **25.6%** to **94,755**. Here, international flights accounted for **83,983 travelers**, while only **10,772 passengers** flew on domestic routes. This mixed performance among Moroccan airports highlights the dynamic nature of air travel in the region.
