Recent reports have unveiled the plans of Mohammed Wahbi, the head coach of the Moroccan national football team, as he considers excluding a key player from Al Ahly from the squad. This move is aimed at refreshing the lineup ahead of the crucial qualification matches for the Africa Cup of Nations 2025, scheduled to take place on September 25 and 28 against Gabon and Lesotho at the Prince Moulay Abdallah Stadium in Rabat.
Wahbi is contemplating significant alterations to the national team roster, seeking to provide opportunities to emerging talents who shone during the youth team's participation in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
