Significant Expansion in Police Recruitment in Morocco
Morocco has launched a substantial recruitment initiative for its national police force, the Direction Générale de la Sûreté Nationale (DGSN), aiming to fill a remarkable 8,427 positions across six different levels. This recruitment drive, which commenced on September 7, 2026, will continue until September 22, allowing interested candidates ample opportunity to apply. This new initiative follows the successful selection process in 2025, during which 6,599 positions were made available, indicating a growing commitment by the Moroccan government to bolster its police force.
The breakdown of the available positions in this latest round of recruitment is notably significant. Out of the total 8,427 roles, 4,890 are designated for security guards, while 2,800 positions are allocated for inspectors. Additionally, there are openings for 450 police officers, 50 peace officers, 140 commissioners, and 97 chief commissioners. This expansion not only reflects the government's efforts to enhance public safety but also aims to attract a diverse range of professionals, including engineers and experts in digital systems and cybersecurity.
Application Process and Timeline
To apply for these positions, candidates must complete an electronic registration and submit the necessary documentation by September 23. The evaluation process will begin in November, with the first round of tests scheduled for November 22, followed by another on November 29 for higher-ranked positions. The testing will take place in Rabat and other designated locations, ensuring a thorough and organized selection process.
This initiative not only aims to strengthen the police force's capabilities but also addresses the increasing demand for security and expertise in modern policing methods. By incorporating specialized roles, Morocco is positioning itself to meet contemporary challenges in law enforcement, particularly in areas concerning digital security and advanced policing techniques.
