In a noteworthy development, several dams across the Kingdom of Morocco have experienced a marked increase in their water inflows over the past 24 hours, from Sunday, May 3, to Monday, May 4, 2026. This surge in water volumes has played a crucial role in enhancing water reserves and improving storage capacities.
Leading the charge in terms of water inflow is the Al-Masira Dam located in the Settat region, which has reported an impressive influx of 11.3 million cubic meters. This significant contribution has raised its storage capacity to an encouraging 41%. Meanwhile, in the Taounate region, the Al-Wahda Dam has similarly witnessed substantial water imports totaling approximately 2.2 million cubic meters, elevating its fill rate to a remarkable 88.2%.
In the Kenitra region, the Sebou Dam has recorded water inflows reaching 1.3 million cubic meters, pushing its fill rate to an impressive 90.1%. Furthermore, the Dawarats Dam in Settat has also reported a water influx of 0.9 million cubic meters, raising its fill percentage to 87.5%. These figures reflect a positive upward trend in water resources, as significant inflows continue to be recorded at multiple dams across the country.
