Slight Decline in Beef Prices in Casablanca
During the week of September 28, wholesale beef prices experienced a minor decrease at the slaughterhouses in Casablanca, as reported by Casablanca Prestations. The current price for beef is now between 75 and 108 Moroccan Dirhams (DH) per kilogram, compared to a previous range of 76 to 108 DH the week prior. This indicates a contraction of one dirham at the lower end of the price spectrum, while the upper limit remains unchanged. Interestingly, the prices for sheep meat have stayed stable, with rates still hovering between 120 and 125 DH per kilogram.

On the other hand, several other vegetables, including tomatoes and potatoes, have maintained their previous price levels, remaining at 2-5.5 DH and 3-5.5 DH per kilogram, respectively.
Fruits have shown notable fluctuations as well, with clementines experiencing a significant price increase, moving from a range of 1.5-3.5 DH per kilogram to between 5 and 8 DH per kilogram. Conversely, avocado prices have decreased, now ranging from 18 to 28 DH per kilogram, down from 20 to 35 DH previously. Imported apples have also seen a drop in their maximum price, now priced at 12-20 DH per kilogram. Overall, other fruit prices have remained relatively stable amidst these changes.
