Investment in Water Infrastructure to Enhance Supply in Casablanca-Settat

This initiative focuses on strengthening hydraulic infrastructure and constructing several water reservoirs across various prefectures and provinces. New Reservoirs to Meet Rising Water Demand
In Jorf Lasfar, located in the El Jadida province, the construction of two new reservoirs with a combined capacity of 45,000 cubic meters (30,000 cubic meters for the first and 15,000 cubic meters for the second) marks a pivotal step toward improving the storage and transfer system for water produced by the local desalination plant. This plant significantly contributes to supplying southern Casablanca with approximately 60 million cubic meters of water annually. The ongoing construction of these reservoirs aims to bolster access to drinking water by increasing storage capacity and ensuring greater autonomy, thereby addressing the rising demand sustainably and meeting the needs of the local population. Furthermore, these developments will enhance service continuity and fortify the resilience of the network against challenges related to water scarcity.
This strategic project, which involves an investment of nearly 137 million Moroccan Dirhams, forms part of the regional company's broader investment program and is expected to be completed within the next 12 months.
