Revolutionizing Transportation Infrastructure in Morocco
The new design for the expansion of the Marrakech-Gueliz train station has been unveiled, marking a significant step forward in Morocco's ambition to enhance its railway infrastructure. Moreover, the project entails a comprehensive renovation of both the internal and external spaces of the station. This renovation will feature modern waiting areas, shopping zones, restaurants, cafes, and parking facilities. Accessibility for individuals with disabilities will also be prioritized, ensuring that the station meets contemporary standards for major transportation hubs.
This expansion is part of the National Office of Railways' strategy to modernize the major stations across the kingdom and support railway expansion projects, particularly the extension of the high-speed train line to Marrakech.
