Ryanair Expands Its Reach: 8 New Routes from Morocco to Europe for Winter 2026/27

Ryanair's New Routes Enhance Morocco's Connectivity

Ryanair, the prominent Irish low-cost airline, has unveiled plans to introduce eight new routes connecting Morocco with various European destinations for the upcoming Winter 2026/27 season. This strategic expansion not only reinforces Ryanair’s existing robust presence in the Moroccan market but also significantly enhances travel options for passengers wishing to explore the rich cultural and scenic offerings of Morocco. The new routes will link Rabat to Stockholm and Kraków, as well as Marrakech to Wrocław and Karlsruhe. Additionally, Agadir will gain connections to Milan, Nuremberg, Bratislava, and Gdańsk, effectively broadening the airline’s operational footprint across the Kingdom.

This expansion forms a part of Ryanair's most extensive winter schedule in Morocco to date, comprising a total of 156 routes that will connect 13 Moroccan airports with destinations in 14 European countries. The airline is set to offer approximately 5.3 million low-fare seats, reflecting a remarkable increase of 580,000 seats or 12% compared to the previous winter season. This growth is underpinned by the deployment of 16 aircraft stationed in Morocco, including two at Ryanair's new base in Rabat, marking its fifth operational base in the country.

With an overall investment in Morocco totaling around $1.6 billion, Ryanair’s operations are not only enhancing travel accessibility but also supporting more than 8,500 local jobs, thereby contributing to the economic landscape of the Kingdom. The expanded network will facilitate improved year-round connectivity to major urban centers as well as secondary markets throughout Europe, which is expected to bolster inbound tourism to Morocco’s imperial cities, picturesque Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines, the majestic Atlas Mountains, and the southern regions. This strategic move also aligns with Morocco’s tourism growth strategy leading up to the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which the Kingdom will co-host alongside Spain and Portugal.

Ryanair’s entry into the Moroccan aviation market dates back to 2006, following the EU-Morocco Open Skies agreement, and since then, the airline has continuously scaled its operations, demonstrating Morocco’s emergence as one of Ryanair's fastest-growing and most significant markets outside of Europe.
