Direct Flights from Frankfurt to Agadir by Discover Airlines
Discover Airlines, a subsidiary of the German airline group Lufthansa, has proudly launched its direct service connecting Frankfurt, Germany, to Agadir, Morocco. The inaugural flight, designated as 4Y232, successfully landed at Agadir-Al Massira Airport on October 26, 2026, after approximately four hours of travel. The aircraft, an Airbus A320, was fully booked, demonstrating the high demand for this new route.
Beginning this winter season, the airline has scheduled two weekly flights, operating every Monday and Friday, from October 2026 until the end of May 2027. Departures from Frankfurt are planned in the morning, with return flights to Germany scheduled to arrive at 19:25 local time.
Previously, in 2022, Discover Airlines initiated direct connections between Marrakech and the airports in Frankfurt and Munich, marking the only non-stop services between these two major German cities and the imperial city of Marrakech. For the winter season, the airline has expanded its offerings to include up to seven flights weekly from Frankfurt and six from Munich.
With the addition of Agadir, Discover Airlines has now reached a total of fifteen flights per week across its Moroccan routes, firmly establishing the beach destination as the second city in Morocco served by the airline, following Marrakech.
Strategic Partnership and Expansion Plans
The announcement of the new route was made on March 9, 2026, shortly after Discover Airlines signed an agreement to expand its partnership with the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) during the ITB international tourism fair held in Berlin. At this event, Discover Airlines expressed its commitment to meet the increasing demand for additional flight connections to Morocco.
The scheduled flights will operate under a calendar that originally extended until the end of March 2027; however, this has now been extended by two months, pushing the end date to May 2027. The airline is keen to promote Agadir's mild climate and its long sandy beaches along the Atlantic coast, which serve as a gateway for excursions to the Souss-Massa National Park and the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.
Founded in the summer of 2021 as part of the Lufthansa group, Discover Airlines is headquartered in Frankfurt and operates a fleet of 33 aircraft while employing approximately 2,200 staff. Passengers flying with Discover Airlines can also benefit from seamless connections at the Frankfurt and Munich hubs, which are major operational centers for the group.
For the upcoming winter season of 2026/2027, the airline has planned short and medium-haul flights to 24 destinations. Notably, Hurghada in Egypt has made a return to the network, with multiple weekly flights from Frankfurt and Munich scheduled until the end of April 2027, adjusted according to seasonal demand. Additionally, the airline has included popular winter destinations such as Kittilä and Ivalo in Finland, Alta in Norway, and Reykjavik in Iceland, all renowned for their snowy landscapes and stunning northern lights.
