Akdital Strengthens Its Model and Accelerates Growth in the Healthcare Sector

Akdital's Remarkable Growth and Expansion

In 2025, Akdital, a leading private healthcare group in Morocco, achieved remarkable financial growth, with revenue reaching 4.4 billion dirhams, reflecting a substantial 49% increase compared to the previous year. This impressive performance is largely attributed to the integration of newly established facilities, with openings in 2024 and 2025 contributing nearly half of the consolidated revenue. Additionally, the group reported a 14% growth in comparable activities, showcasing a robust operational performance. Akdital is committed to playing a vital societal role, aligning with the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to reform and democratize the national healthcare system, positioning itself as a key player in the transformation of Morocco's healthcare landscape.

Strategic Decentralization and Infrastructure Development

To enhance access to healthcare services, Akdital has embarked on a significant decentralization strategy, with 75% of its total bed capacity situated outside the central Casablanca-Rabat axis. This strategic geographic distribution has resulted in a substantial number of patients being treated in regional facilities, with 76% of general surgery patients (approximately 78,885 individuals) and 79% of chemotherapy patients (69,496 individuals) now receiving care outside the major urban centers. The group has expanded its footprint by establishing 41 facilities across 24 cities, contributing to a total capacity of 4,505 beds, which represents around 17% of Morocco's private healthcare capacity. In 2025 alone, Akdital opened eight new facilities in regions such as Guelmim, Laâyoune, Nador, and Oujda, bolstering its territorial network and enhancing its technical capabilities.

In terms of operational engagement, Akdital's facilities served over 566,000 patients during 2025, resulting in more than 1.14 million admissions. The group works with a network of approximately 3,929 partner physicians and employs nearly 9,900 staff members. Financially, Akdital's EBITDA stood at 1.2 billion dirhams, reflecting a 45% increase, while net income approached 494 million dirhams, up by 42%. Despite a slight contraction in operational profitability due to recent expansions, the group remains on a solid growth trajectory. The net debt reached 4.3 billion dirhams, attributed to a bond issuance aimed at funding expansion projects, including international endeavors.

Akdital is not only focused on growth but is also pioneering advancements in medical technology and healthcare delivery. The group has conducted 200 robotic surgeries in 2025 and is involved in several groundbreaking initiatives in Morocco and Africa. Furthermore, its commitment to integrating medical data and artificial intelligence aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy and streamline patient care pathways. With plans to expand its network to nearly 60 facilities by 2028, Akdital is set to play an increasingly significant role in the evolving healthcare sector, ensuring a sustainable future for healthcare delivery in Morocco and beyond.
